As a couple’s therapist, I often work with couple’s who struggle to LIKE each other. I know, that sounds weird, but it makes perfect sense. We often give our best selves to complete strangers and save whatever is left over for our partner. The stuff at the bottom of our energy barrel is usually pretty crappy. In turn, we show our worst selves to our partners, speak harshly, don’t use a filter, and it creates a lot of upset and hurt feelings in our relationships.
If you’re experiencing something similar and want to end the cycle of arguing, hurting each other’s feelings, and feeling total disdain for your partner, try out this simple tip to help improve your relationship.
Now, if you want to create big change in your life, you must turn awareness into action. In the comments section, share with me your one take away from this video.
